SUMMARY:Terry L. Masarro "Rocky" - February 19\, 1954 - April 23\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:We mourn the loss of Rotarian Rocky Massaro and offer prayers and condolences to his family. \n  \nFrom the New Castle News (Terry Massaro | Obituary | New Castle News (ncnewsonline.com)) \n  \nTerry “Rocky” L. Massaro\, 70\, of Neshannock Township was called home to be with Christ on the afternoon of Tuesday\, April 23\, 2024.\nRocky was born Feb. 19\, 1954\, in New Castle to Rose (Fava) and Carmen Massaro. \nHe is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 41 years\, Ginny (Yargo) Massaro\, as well as his daughter\, Terrilyn (Joshua “Sal”) Pacella of Cochabamba\, Bolivia; his son\, Danny (Andrea) Massaro of Beaver\, Pennsylvania; and brother\, Carmen Massaro of Westlake\, Ohio. \nHe also leaves behind the lights of his life in his seven precious grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Papa\,” Camille\, Salvatore\, Moses and Isaiah Pacella\, and Caroline\, Emery and Brooklyn Massaro. \nPreceding Rocky in death were his parents. \nRocky was a 1972 graduate of Neshannock High School and a 1976 graduate of Westminster College. \nHe began his career as an accountant at Carbis Walker LLP (now Baker Tilly) on Jan. 3\, 1978\, and worked there for his entire 46 year career as a CPA and partner. \nHe loved his community and served in various roles\, such as treasurer of the New Castle Rotary Club No. 89 and as “The Voice of the Lancers\,” announcing Neshannock High School football games for 17 seasons. \nRocky was a member of Life Family Church in New Brighton\, Pennsylvania\, and served each summer at NWD church camps for almost 30 years.\nHe loved playing his saxophone\, cutting his grass and was an avid reader of the New Castle News and his Bible. \nFamily and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday\, April 28\, 2024\, as well as from 10 a.m. Monday\, April 29\, 2024\, until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory\, 3000 Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township. Pastor Sam DeMarco will officiate.\nEntombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. \nIn lieu of flowers\, donations can be made to three of Rocky’s favorite organizations in which he served with joy during his life. SUMMARY:7th Annual Corn Hole Tournament - New Castle Rotary Club #89
DESCRIPTION:Come play cornhole for a good cause! All proceeds go to your local Rotary Club for it’s local and international humanitarian efforts. \nCost:\n$30 per person if registration and payment received by March 20th\n$40 per person at the door\n$20 entrance fee for those not participating in the event \nPrizes: 1st Place $150.00 2nd Place: $100.00 \nDetails: Tournament will be round robin or double elimination\, depending on number of registrants. Don’t worry if you lose early\, more competitions will be ongoing throughout the day. Food and drink included in the price. Beer included in registration fee. (must be 21 years or older and present valid ID) There will also be a silent auction with many great prizes\, cash preferred. \nWe are looking for board sponsors!
