From the New Castle News (Terry Massaro | Obituary | New Castle News (ncnewsonline.com))

Terry “Rocky” L. Massaro, 70, of Neshannock Township was called home to be with Christ on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Rocky was born Feb. 19, 1954, in New Castle to Rose (Fava) and Carmen Massaro.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 41 years, Ginny (Yargo) Massaro, as well as his daughter, Terrilyn (Joshua “Sal”) Pacella of Cochabamba, Bolivia; his son, Danny (Andrea) Massaro of Beaver, Pennsylvania; and brother, Carmen Massaro of Westlake, Ohio.

He also leaves behind the lights of his life in his seven precious grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Papa,” Camille, Salvatore, Moses and Isaiah Pacella, and Caroline, Emery and Brooklyn Massaro.

Preceding Rocky in death were his parents.

Rocky was a 1972 graduate of Neshannock High School and a 1976 graduate of Westminster College.

He began his career as an accountant at Carbis Walker LLP (now Baker Tilly) on Jan. 3, 1978, and worked there for his entire 46 year career as a CPA and partner.

He loved his community and served in various roles, such as treasurer of the New Castle Rotary Club No. 89 and as “The Voice of the Lancers,” announcing Neshannock High School football games for 17 seasons.

Rocky was a member of Life Family Church in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, and served each summer at NWD church camps for almost 30 years.
He loved playing his saxophone, cutting his grass and was an avid reader of the New Castle News and his Bible.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, as well as from 10 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township. Pastor Sam DeMarco will officiate.
Entombment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to three of Rocky’s favorite organizations in which he served with joy during his life. Please make all donations in memory of Rocky.
